Adventure Gym Terms & Conditions

Membership is for a MINIMUM period of 6 months. All club members must attend an induction session before using our facilities at either centre.

Members that use the facilities and equipment of Surf-Lines should report to the reception immediately upon arrival and again before using any facilities .

Users should seek advice from the Duty Manager before using any club equipment or facilities or before going out on the water. Failure to adhere to this advice may effect your third party  insurance for taking part in watersports at Surf-Lines.

Users that ignore the advice of Surf-Lines regarding use of our equipment and facilities will find themselves liable for all damage caused including damage to Surf-Lines equipment and all the costs incurred.

Users should check their equipment or, equipment hired to them by Surf-Liness to ensure that it is seaworthy both before and after usage. Any defects or breakages should be reported to a member of staff immediately.

Users should check the weather forecast to ensure that they are capable of paddling in the prevailing conditions.

Surf-Lines reserves the right to restrict the hire of equipment on the or off-site at the Duty Managers discretion.

Users must wear a suitable buoyancy aid at all times.

Users must wear appropriate footwear for all locations

Users should at all times show care and consideration to other users of the lake and the sea and observe all requirements of other relevant bodies. (including the local Council and the Coast guard)

Users must acknowledge that Surf-Lines is under no liability or obligation to them in relation to any loss, injury, damage or any other liability. (Except to the extent that by virtue of any applicable law any such liability cannot be excluded, restricted or limited.)

Users must accept full responsibility for their own safety and for any loss or damage to any of the facilities or of the equipment, which they may have hired from Surf-Lines. Members must agree to indemnify Surf-Lines from and against all liabilities, losses, damages, costs, charges and expenses in relation thereto.

Under -16’s are not permitted to engage in watersports or use any of the Club’s equipment other than on the Lake except with written parental consent and under the direct supervision of an adult who may be a parent or other responsible person approved by the Club or one of the Duty Managers.

Surf-Lines reserves the right to alter its opening times. As a guide they are 9.00am to 5.30pm (minimum) 7 days a week.

“Unlimited hire” with Surf-Lines means members can hire the equipment as much as they like, for as long as you like subject to the following :

The centre is open – see opening times

You are of a suitable ability for the equipment and conditions

The conditions are suitable for the equipment and your ability

There is no one else wanting the equipment. If there is we operate a fair usage policy, which limits your hire to 2 hours.

Surf-Lines equipment damage policy.

Members are fully liable for any loss or damage to all equipment. This is cost to repair to new condition or replace which ever is cheaper. UNLESS Members opt for our Damage Waiver which costs £60 per year. This protects members from the cost of any ACCIDENTAL damage to equipment. The waiver is considered null and void if members have ignored the advice of the duty manager, or have paddled outside of the remit agreed.

Members 10% discount may not be used in conjunction with any other offer. Surf-Lines reserves the right to restrict access to equipment for any reason.

Surf-Lines reserves the right to add or remove other activities and benefits without notice.

Cancelling membership

Your contract is for a minimum period of 1 year and cannot be cancelled within the first 12 months. Paying by standing order is just a way of spreading the annual membership fee. To cancel your membership you must inform us in writing with one months notice. It is your responsibility to cancel your standing order. If you leave the standing order running after you cancel your membership you will not receive any credit. In the event of an error in cancelling the standing order being made by your bank you will need to contact them.
