Demo Day 2010

SURF-LINES DEMO DAY
Sunday 25th April 2010

Surf-Lines, along with many of the leading canoe and kayak manufacturers, are hosting a FREE DEMO DAY to come and try canoeing and kayaking.

There will be a wide range of canoes and kayaks to demo, including:
White water kayaks
Recreational touring kayaks
Sea kayaks
Open canoes
Sit-on-top kayaks

Manufacturers will include Dagger, Liquid Logic, Valley, Ocean Kayak, Native Watercraft and Old Town.
Although we cannot confirm the exact range of models that manufacturers will provide for demo, we can guarantee that there will be an impressively wide selection of canoes and kayaks available for FREE DEMO.

If you are considering purchasing a canoe or kayak, this is the ideal chance to try out several models before you buy. You can also get plenty of expert advice from our knowledgeable staff and meet the guys that actually make these fantastic boats.

In addition to the manufacturers listed above, the event will also be supported by Palm clothing and Werner paddles, and many other manufacturers of canoe/kayak clothing and equipment.

VENUE

At Surf-Lines Paddlesports shop in Llanberis, Snowdonia. Situated next to Llanberis Lake, it’s an excellent venue in beautiful surroundings. We’re only an hour and a half from Liverpool and Manchester – just follow the A55 into North Wales and you’re there!

PADDLING ABILITY

There’s no need to be an expert paddler – if you’ve only paddled a couple of times before there will be plenty of expert assistance and safety cover afloat. If you’re a complete beginner, we are offering introductory courses (see below) to get you started.

COURSES


If you are new to paddlesport, we are offering coaching sessions to help make the most of your time on the water.
Beginner sessions in kayaking and open canoeing will be available - Please book your place in advance as spaces will fill up fast. Email us at info@surf-lines.co.uk for further details.
WHAT TO BRING
As well as canoes and kayaks we will loan paddles, buoyancy aids, spray decks, and paddle tops – at no cost.
Please bring something to wear on the water such as shorts or tracksuit bottoms, lightweight shoes or trainers, T shirt, fleece or other top to wear under a spray top. It’s a good idea to bring a change of clothes and towel.

Please email us if you’re intending to visit the SURF-LINES DEMO DAY. This will speed up your registration on the day and will allow you to get afloat more quickly.
Please note that we cannot guarantee the availability of a specific canoe or kayak on the day.
Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
