FAQ's

What time do the courses begin?

Our morning sessions run from 9am to 12.30pm, afternoon sessions from 1.30pm to 5pm.
Some specialist training courses may different start and finish times – we will inform you of any changes at the time of booking.

Can I pay on the day?

We cannot confirm a booking until full payment is received. We recommend that you settle the course fee before arrival – for group bookings this is particularly important, although we will take a deposit in advance and accept the balance immediately prior to the course.

What’s the minimum age for Surf-Lines Adventures?

We can take unaccompanied children from the age of eight upwards – in the holiday season we run activity sessions for different age groups. We also welcome younger children if accompanied by their parents.

Do you offer family activities?

Yes. We also ensure compatible groups – if you book as a family we’ll either give you your own instructor or match you with another family.

How fit do I need to be?

There’s no need to be super-fit – these activities are open to all ages and abilities.
You should, however, have a reasonable basic level of fitness, and must advise us of any medical conditions and allergies – see the relevant section of the booking form.

I’m looking for a really exciting/relaxing experience.

No problem – we aim to put like-minded people together to maximize enjoyment.

Am I insured with Surf-Lines Adventures?

Surf-Lines holds public and employers’ liability insurance of £5 million. Your course fee, however, does not include personal travel or accident insurance – please contact your insurer for details of available cover.

What do I need to bring?

For canoeing, kayaking and Coasteering sessions please bring swimming togs and a couple of thin layers to wear under your wetsuit – synthetic fibres are warmer than cotton when wet. Also bring a pair of old trainers that you won’t mind getting wet – if you’ve got them, wetsuit boots are ideal. Finally, don’t forget your towel, and sun cream!

For rock climbing, abseiling and mountaineering courses you’ll need to bring suitable footwear – trainers for rock climbing and walking boots for mountaineering. Wear warm, loose clothing and bring a lightweight waterproof jacket.

We’ll provide everything else that you’ll need – but don’t forget a few snacks to keep you going and a camera to capture the moment! No previous experience is required for any of our Adventure Days courses.
