Rock Climbing Adventure
Llanberis is the birthplace of rock climbing, so where better to take your first steps in the sport? This sociable, exciting sport is accessible to all and is a great choice for adults, young people and families. What's it about? Using hand and foot holds, harnesses and ropes, problem solving and teamwork, you can experience the thrill and achievement of climbing to the top of a steep crag. If you've never climbed before, our half-day adventure is the ideal introduction - you'll make your first moves on the crag, experience abseiling and learn essential safety skills. In the care of our instructors, you'll soon impress your friends with your confident moves on the rock! Where do we go? With plenty of easy climbing crags on our doorstep, we're spoilt for choice. Lion Rock is our most popular beginners' venue - a beautiful woodland crag with a variety of faces and boulders. Only a few hundred metres from the lake, the view from the top towards the summit of Snowdon is spectacular. The Cromlech crags and boulders, in the heart of the Pass, give a real mountain experience. Towering mountain cliffs flank the valley sides, with sweeping views to the sea. Who can climb? Anyone - this perfect mix of fun, adventure and new skills is suitable for young people, families and newcomers to the sport. What kit do I need? We provide all saety and technical equipment, including a harness and helmet. You should bring an old pair of trainers or walking boots and loose comfortable clothing. We can provide waterproofs if needed. This could be the start of a lifetime of climbing adventures - take the first step with a Surf-Lines adventure course! 2010 Dates: Please contact us for dates/details.
